Pakistani security forces have neutralized seven militants during coordinated intelligence-based operations (IBOs) conducted across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan, successfully dismantling active militant networks and seizing substantial caches of weapons, ammunition, and explosive materials.

According to official security reports, the operations were executed in the Bara tehsil of Khyber district in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the Nokcha area of Chagai district in Balochistan following precise intelligence regarding the presence and movements of hostile elements planning subversive activities.

Targeted raid in Bara, Khyber district

In Khyber district, security personnel launched an intensive intelligence-driven cordon-and-search operation targeting a confirmed militant hideout in Bara. During an intense exchange of fire, five militants affiliated with the outlawed Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) were killed. Troops successfully cleared the compound, demolishing fortified bunkers and recovering assault rifles, heavy machine-gun rounds, night-vision optics, and communication equipment used to coordinate cross-border ambushes.

Local administration officials confirmed that sanitization and clearance operations were immediately extended to adjacent mountainous valleys to eliminate any remaining facilitator cells.

Balochistan highway interception in Chagai

In a separate operation along the strategic N-40 National Highway corridor in Chagai district, security forces intercepted a group of armed militants in the Nokcha sector. The elements had engaged in roadside arson attacks, setting fire to commercial transit transport before attempting to escape into rugged terrain. Following tactical pursuit, two militants were killed on the spot, while improvised explosive devices (IEDs) and anti-vehicle ordnance were neutralized by bomb disposal teams.

Government resolve and regional security

Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi commended the professionalism, bravery, and rapid operational coordination of the security forces and law enforcement agencies. In an official statement, the Interior Minister reiterated the state's unyielding determination to eradicate terrorism in all its manifestations and ensure complete protection of critical national infrastructure and civilian transit routes.

Security agencies have intensified intelligence surveillance across frontline districts to maintain peace and disrupt hostile proxy networks attempting to destabilize the region.
