This Social Safeguard Specialist job is designed for experienced professionals who can ensure that social safeguard standards, stakeholder engagement, and social risk management are fully integrated into project planning and implementation, in line with national regulations and international best practices.
Key Responsibilities – Social Safeguard Specialist Job
- Lead social safeguard assessments in line with approved Terms of Reference.
- Support stakeholder consultation, citizen engagement, and grievance redress mechanisms.
- Ensure compliance with World Bank procurement and safeguard regulations for individual consultants.
- Prepare high-quality reports, social assessments, and analytical documents.
- Coordinate with public and private sector stakeholders to mitigate social risks in education projects.
- Provide technical input to PMIU on inclusion, community engagement, and social risk management.
Qualifications & Experience Required
- Master’s or Bachelor’s (Honors) degree with 16 years of education in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Environmental Sciences, or a closely related field from a recognized institution, duly approved by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan.
- At least five (05) years of documentary verifiable, relevant professional experience after acquiring the required qualification.
- Experience in public and/or private sector organizations, including national or international development projects.
- Prior work in social safeguards, social assessments, stakeholder management, or citizen engagement will be considered a strong asset.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Proven report writing, analytical, and independent working capability.
Project & Organization Overview
The GRADES-P project focuses on improving access to education, enhancing service delivery, and strengthening learning outcomes, particularly at pre-primary and primary levels. Through this Social Safeguard Specialist job, selected consultants will support Punjab’s education system by ensuring inclusive, transparent, and socially responsible project implementation.
